Antique upholstery sample skirt. Made from an old table runner I found at a thrift store, this piece is an absolute one of a kind. This skirt began draped on the body at a slight angle, then I decided to create a pleated panel out of scrap cream satin. The front has a fold over that reveals elastic ribbon loops and antique gold buttons. The garment has an overlock finish.
Waist: 27-28"Hip: 37"
SAMPLE: Since this piece was not derived from a pattern, and it is indeed a first sample of a garment, there are some slight flaws. First of all the fold over is hand stitched down, and comes over the pleated section just a bit (photos available), secondly there is no facing pieces on this garment, just overlocked edges.
